Meet our founder

I founded Axis Group Ventures after spending over a decade as a credit investor at Silicon Valley Bank (Nasdaq: SIVB) and Hercules Capital (NYSE: HTGC). During that time, I had the privilege of working alongside some of the world’s most talented entrepreneurs, investors, and bankers. Over the course of my career, I structured and closed more than $1 billion in debt commitments across approximately 100 businesses and co-invested with over 125 venture capital and private equity firms.

My path into finance was preceded by six years of active duty service as a U.S. Air Force officer. That experience shaped my approach to leadership, discipline, and execution. I led aircraft maintenance operations for A-10s, C-130s, and HH-60s, and later specialized in procurement and logistics for the GPS ground control and user equipment segments at the Space and Missile Systems Center.

These diverse experiences give me a unique perspective—one that blends operational insight, technical rigor, and financial acumen. More than anything, my journey has reinforced the values I hold most deeply: honesty, respect, empathy, and trust. Since launch, Axis Group Ventures has supported approximately $1 billion in financings and partnered with a wide range of innovative businesses and capital providers. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited to build on this foundation as we enter our next phase of growth.
